Some of the myths that revolve around how to cure a toothache can be quite entertaining.

• One myth is that chewing cloves will cure a toothache. This is patently false! Cloves do contain, a chemical that can cleanse and numb an area. So chewing on cloves might offer temporary relief from the pain of a toothache. But in no way do cloves fix the source of a toothache.
• Funniest of all myths is that kissing a donkey, or some other equine family member, can cure a toothache. FALSE! The only way that this method could be effective is if the donkey became offended and kicked the kisser in the mouth, dislodging the exact tooth responsible for the toothache. So, cure not going to happen. Chances of causing a lot more pain than that caused by a toothache? Very high! Not recommended.
• Finally, a myth similar to the first one is that onions have antiseptic and antimicrobial properties that control a toothache and can provide relief from pain by killing the germs causing an infection.
